Üsküdar on Istanbul's Asian side shares similarities with Svyatoshyn's residential nature in Kyiv but is also infused with deep historical and cultural significance. Üsküdar is characterized by its beautiful Ottoman-era mosques, seafront promenades, and its busy ferry docks. This district provides a more tranquil atmosphere compared to the city's more European parts. Üsküdar is known for its historical sites, such as the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan, and the Kız Kulesi (Maiden's Tower), which sits on a small islet at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus and has a romantic fable attached to it.
