Similar to Barrio del Artista's creative flair, Insadong is best known for its traditional Korean culture, art galleries, and antique shops. Insadong provides a glimpse into the country's vibrant past with its array of artisanal goods, calligraphy shops, and pottery. The main street, Insadong-gil, is closed to vehicle traffic on weekends, allowing pedestrians to freely explore the alleys filled with tea houses, traditional restaurants, and cultural performances. Insadong is also home to important cultural sites like Jogyesa Temple and the beautiful Ssamziegil shopping complex, where local artists sell their crafts.
